Getting started¶
Signing in¶
- Open mTime and click Sign in with bexio.
-
bexio asks whether mTime may access your account. mTime asks only for what it needs:
Access What for Read and write time tracking Show, book, change and delete your entries Read projects Offer projects and work packages to choose from Read contacts Show the customer of an entry Details about you and your company Recognise you mTime does not access invoices, accounting, banking or payroll.
-
After confirming you land in your current week.
You stay signed in for 30 days. Sign out is at the top right.
What you may do in bexio, you may do in mTime
mTime can never do more than your bexio user may. If you lack the right for time tracking in bexio, mTime tells you so when you sign in.
Booking your first time¶
- In the bar above the week, type what you worked on.
- Choose Project · Work package. The pairs you used recently are offered.
- Type the duration, for example
1.5, and press Enter.
The entry is now in bexio and appears in the week. More under Booking time.
Installing mTime as an app¶
mTime can be put on the home screen like an app. It then opens in its own window, without an address bar.
Open Settings and tap Install mTime.
- Android, and Chrome or Edge on a computer: the browser's install dialog appears. Confirm it.
- iPhone and iPad: Apple does not let web pages show such a dialog. So mTime shows you the three steps: Share icon, Add to Home Screen, Add.
The button only shows instructions?
Then your browser is not offering installation right now. That is the case when mTime is already installed or when the browser cannot install apps (Firefox, for example).
Nothing is installed from a store. You get a new version of mTime automatically the next time you open the app with a connection.
